For the last 6 months, my tool for working has been the Fuji X-T1. I usually don't talk about gear, and this isn't really a review (if you want a good review of the camera go here or here), but I have to say that I love this camera. For me and the work I do, it is perfect. The optics are great. The camera is light and fast. Size is perfect. I never leave the house without it. I always dreaded packing my D600 if I wasn't going to a paid gig. Not with the X-T1. It's an absolute joy to use.

It's not without it's quirks. I don't know how confident I would be with it at a wedding for example. I came from Nikon, and will probably add a new camera body with the release of the D810 now that my event work is picking up. I'm also getting requests for video, and this has always been a Fuji shortcoming. But for everything else, it's almost perfect.

I'm amazed at the low-light performance from this APS-C Sensor. These look like they were shot in the middle of the day. These were shot at dusk! The range of colors this camera can catch is amazing. These are out of the camera jpegs with some cropping. What I wanted to see was the low-light, color, and depth of field performance. To me they're just beautiful. The blurry images are experiments. I was trying to create my own impressionist work!
