Ring Flash Lighting

Most anybody who has an interest in off camera lighting usually finds the strobist website at some point. With a load of great info, the site has an extensive amount of DIY stuff. Wanting to try something new (for me), I made one of the DIY ring flashes from the site for a different kind of look. While the ring flash has had it's day, and has been a bit overused, I myself had never tried one. It really is a specialty look, and I don't know if I would ever get the chance to use it in my own work. But it was fun to put it together, and the kids were game to pose, so here we are:
