One last fair weather shoot with a great family. The Scholes. They made it easy and fun with the energy they had. We wanted to get some family shots, and maybe some school-year-type photos of the boys. We ended up running around and playing in the leaves. I have to say, one of my favorite shoots. Great people.

Read MoreAt Lake Tahoe this past week, and we had some crazy weather. It went from 70 to 45 degrees in a matter of minutes accompanied by dime size hail, lightning, super rain, and flash flood warnings. This lasted about 45 minutes. After it cleared, there was about a half hour of light left. These were some of the sights we had after the storm.

Read MoreWe live in a neighborhood where one of our very generous neighbors sets up a fantastic fireworks show. On his own, and out of his pocket. And it's awesome. And I don't mean just the fireworks. The entire neighborhood comes out, and it's a great time to connect with people. My kids love it. My dog even loves it. Read MorePhotography is fun. There is no doubt. Capturing the image you envision is immensley rewarding. But then there is the work of it, which is still fun, but there exists a danger of the monotonous. I'm still fairly new to the game, so shooting anything I can is still exciting.
